Allocator

 

Reports to:  Merchandiser

 

Role: To create tools and reports for input into the S&OP process. To analyse Demand, Supply & Inventory data, gain insight and make proposals and recommendations for improvements.   

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

    1. Intake

    1. With AM/Merchandiser plan store optimum stock levels
    2. Manage store delivery schedule with warehouse and retail

     

    2. Allocation & Replenishment

    1. Continually review allocation levels by store by product including ecom.
    2. Manage use of replenishment methods
    3. Plan and manage new store allocation packages

     

    3. Grading

    1. Set, allocate, and analyse grade performance, identifying opportunities

     

    4. System Skills

    1. Manage allocations and replenishment within Futura
    2. Manages markdown builds and till pricing

     

    5. Branch Communication

    1. Act as ‘buddy’ to designated branches, maintaining regular contact, visiting frequently to enable better understanding of space, allocation requirements, and local factors
    2. Carry out shop performance analysis to identify profit opportunities
    3. Provides stock communications to shops

     

    6. Team Support

    1. Creates and distributes weekly departmental reports
    2. Provides shop performance reports
    3. Carries out seasonal & ad hoc analysis as required by department
    4. Works with branch merchandising function on store planning

  • Systems – ideally allocation systems, excel, and Outlook

  • Knowledge of shop operations / retail experience

  • Acts professionally at all times
