APAC and UK Visual Merchandising Designer


Reports to:  APAC and UK Visual Merchandising Manager


Role: A critical role in the Visual Merchandising function for the UK and Asia Pacific (APAC), the APAC & UK VM Designer will;
Assist with the development & ongoing maintance of new, creative and commercial visual presentation across all stores, reflecting  brand and global marketing strategy, planograms and guidelines.
Analyse store & VM performance in conjunction with business partners to identify layout trading opportunities.
Partner with the Regional VM Coaches, Retail Area Managers, Marketing, APAC, Merchandising and Buying to support business strategy.


Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • To support with the design and maintenance of VM display across our stores, incorporating all product ranges, marketing directives, planogram solutions and merchandising analysis .

  • Assist in the design of new window schemes, in store promotions and any 3d Marketing activities or installations.

  • Support development, maintenance and communication of planogram solutions to all relevant departments and APAC areas.

  • Involvement in new store worldwide openings, PR activities and conferences.

  • Clearly promote and record all product ranges demonstrating imaginative and best practice display techniques that enhance sales and merchandising directives and analysis.

  • Coordinate seasonal VM initiatives throughout all APAC European and UK store/concessions in line with all Marketing, Web and Board directives such as planograms, window displays, in store displays and feature garments etc

  • Train and engage Regional VM Coaches around implementation of VM display manual and seasonal promotional packs

  • Communicate VM/Board initiatives and directives including marketing activities to Retail business partners

  • Apply sales and merchandising analysis to produce alternative display & planogram solutions that help drive sales within stores worldwide.

  • Working alongside Store Design to help maintain and re-set existing store layouts for ongoing, peak, or promotional periods.

  • With VM Manager to help design and implement seasonal external promotions, PR events and UK/International conferences

  • Work alongside the VM Manager and Store Design & Vintage team to help design, procure and implement fixtures, fittings, accessories and products that enhance and complement the store design layout  

  • Keep up with trends and seasonal activities within the market using these to influence VM iniatives and output.

  • Accuracy of Sales Activities and Proportions analysis, VM pack and VM  manual updates.

  • Effective implementation of global planograms

  • Effective window installations, feature tables, and displays, reflecting global plans.

  • Accurate and detailed instructions to all relevant parties via telephone calls and emails etc

  • Accuracy and maintainance of VM budget

  • Significant development in store presentation and existing design product layout

  • Positive feedback from key stakeholders


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role

  • Excellent drafting and visual communication skills using a range of media; Photoshop, Cad etc

  • Creative with proven window dressing and in store presentation skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

  • Highly PC literate, power point and photo shop an advantage

  • Budget management experience.

  • Willing and able to travel and stay away from home when required.
