Top Christmas Gifts with Emmy's Vintage Cottage
Making friends on social media really is the best. And Emma, of Emmy’s Vintage Cottage, has been a huge supporter of our brand for many, many years. Who better, then, to share their top picks for Christmas gifts from our Home for Christmas range?
Hello. I’m Emma and I live in a little cottage with my husband Martyn and our four cats, two ducks and two chickens.
My love for Cath Kidston is legendary amongst my family and friends. It started right back in the 90’s, when I was given a strawberry print tea towel as a housewarming gift by my twin sister. I was hooked. Over the years I have amassed a huge collection of Cath Kidston homeware and clothing and I love to share my passion across my social media.
I grew up in a house full of heirlooms and vintage, so I love to repurpose and up cycle vintage furniture, making it pretty with a coat of paint and Cath Kidston fabrics and wallpapers. I loved the blue of the Cath Kidston store fronts so much I took a carrier bag into my local paint store and had them mix the exact same shade of paint for me to decorate my kitchen walls in.
And when a whole load of my Cath Kidston mugs got chipped in the dishwasher I couldn’t bear to throw them out so I repurposed them into a mug chandelier using Cath Kidston ribbon to hang them from.
Christmas is my favourite time of year. I love all the traditions and spending time with family and friends, sitting by the fire and watching Christmas movies with a mulled wine and a box of chocolates. Though Christmas this year might be a little different this year, I’m determined to make it the most magical it can be, so I’m delighted to share with you my handpicked Cath Kidston Christmas gift guide.
GIFT PICK ONE
For my twin sister, I’ll be gifting the moon and stars bowls. I love how this heritage Cath Kidston print has been reimagined with a contemporary twist, and know she will too as she loves clean lines and Scandinavian style. These will be just perfect for her.
GIFT PICK TWO
I absolutely love the Stanley mugs, the festive party animals and magical woodland will make great gifts for the man in your life. My husband loves his morning cuppa in them and the whimsical prints are perfect for all ages.
GIFT PICK FOUR
How beautiful are the new scented candles and reed diffuser? I shall be gifting my older sister these, her home always looks magical at Christmas and she will love the woody scent of the Siberian fir.
GIFT PICK FIVE
The packaging on the Cath Kidston toiletries collection is super cute this year. I mean, who doesn’t love to see penguins with scarves and owls in sweaters? And it doesn’t get much better than eggnog flavoured lip balm … yum. These will be perfect for Secret Santa at work or posting off to friends I would normally visit.
GIFT PICK SIX
I’ll be serving up a little extra gift at the Christmas dinner table with these cute crackers containing bath and body treats. What a nice little party favour? And I always add to my ever-growing collection of Cath Christmas decorations each year so my gift to myself will be the beautiful large snow globe. I just love snow globes they remind me of family Christmas’s when I was a child.
I hope you enjoyed my gift guide. Now I’m off to cosy up in front of the fire in my Festive Animals pyjamas with a steaming mug of hot chocolate and a mince pie.
Happy Christmas everyone.
