HR Intern - 3 month fixed term contract

 

Reports to: Head of HR 

 

Role: To work as part of the HR Admin team to ensure that all employee HR administration is accurately processed and maintained.  Ensure that HR System and filing is always up to date and accurate. Advise employees and line managers across Head Office, UK and International Retail on basic HR policy and processes.   

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all HR information (electronic and paper filing systems) is accurate, compliant, up to date, and easily accessible.

  • To maintain and be an expert in the Simply Personnel HR system.

  • Working within the HR Assistant team to keep on top of HR inboxes and recruitment inboxes, answering queries, processing changes etc

  • Support the administration around recruitment – advertising  roles, store employee candidate screening, arranging interviews, issuing  regret letters and communication with candidates.

  • Dealing with reference requests

  • Supporting the administration of the annual appraisal process

  • Maternity and Paternity process administration

  • Provide admin support to the HR Director and Head of HR

  • Assist in the administration and coordination of training events

  • General HR Administration support as required

  • Government documents are processed accurately and eligibility to work is checked thoroughly

  • Quick turnover of recruitment for stores

  • All employee appraisals are completed and processed by set deadlines

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Highly PC literate ; in particular Excel and word, accurate with attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

  • Flexible approach and able to work under pressure

  • Team player, tenacious, self starter, highly motivated

  • Enjoys working in a fast paced ever changing environment

  • Knowledge of HR systems and previous experience in an HR environment would be desirable

  • Ideally will have experience supporting or working in a retail environment
