I bought this to replace a Sainsburys ceramic one I have had for years and has sadly broken. I very disappointed with this one because of the open hole in the bottom. Everytime I was it (whether by hand or in the dishwasher) the cup fills with water. When I make my drink in the cup the water inside gets very hot and pours out the bottom, scolding me and making a mess. The cup is unusable.
I ordered this online, it looks lovely so decided to keep it. A decision I regret. \nIt is dishwasher safe so I popped it in the dishwasher prior to using it for the first time. I hadn't noticed it had a hole underneath. Water dripped out of the hole for 4 days, there is no way of getting all the water out quickly. It was then I read the first review left on here who also pointed out the same issue. \nI have contacted customer services and cannot get a refund or return the item. They advised me not to submerge the mug when washing. What's the point in having a mug you have to wash so carefully and cannot put in the dishwasher? Useless! \n\n
I have 3 travel mugs from CK. This one was bought as a gift. Unfortunately it is just as bad as my other. I shall list a few reasons why:\n1. The mug is not very big\n2. It doesn’t keep drinks that much warmer for longer.\n3. The small hole in the bottom fills with water and dribbles all over your clothes.\n4. I can not drink through the rubber top, the taste is awful, all I can taste is rubber\/plastic.\n\nThe best mug I have was screw top Guernsey flower one I bought in the sale. Although this sadly did not have the CK brand anywhere it was perfect. To most it looks likes something from a bargain store. Please bring this type back with branding on!
I recently bought this mug instore, I havr many friends with Cath kidston travel mugs and have always heaed good things, however I have found they arw not for me.\n\nPossives: \n-the design is very attractive.\n-it's ceramic and not plastic.\n-the rubber had grip is very useful.\n\nThe negatives:\nThe mug looks a lot taller than it is, there is a hollow part at the bottom for thermal reasons, due to this, any tassimo coffee I fill it will will overflow. Not the end of the world, but felt it was deceptively big. \n-the hollow part at thr bottom has a small cirlcle hole at the bottom where water can get trapped. Even when hand washing witt great care and then needa to be shacken vigorously to release the water or it will start to smell.
